Romance of Finance

Dr. Pankaj Kumar Roy is an eminent academician, researcher, and administrator with a distinguished career spanning over three decades. While his primary research focus has been finance, his deep fascination with various aspects of Indian literature and culture has led to a close association with the Asiatic Society, Kolkata. This dual passion has inspired his journey to seck the ‘romance’ within the often pragmatic and hard-headed world of finance.
Dr. Roy earned his Ph.D. in Business Management from the Department of Business Management, University o of Calcutta, in 2001. He is a Life Member of the Indian Accounting Association and a Member of the Asiatic Society, Kolkata. With 36 years years of teaching experience, including 9 years as Principal of Jogesh Chandra Chaudhuri College, Kolkata, Dr. Roy has contributed significantly to academia.

Dr. Roy is a prolific writer, having authored 12 books, including Capital Market of India (Jaico) and Auditing and Assurance (Oxford). He has published more than 50 articles in reputed journals, newspapers, and web portals. As a course content creator, developer, editor, and resource person for Swayam (MOOCs), he has significantly contributed to online education.
He has also been a prominent panelist in discussions on leading television channels such as ABP Ananda, Sansad TV, Times Now, and Republic Bangla.
