Cricket: A stroll down its glorious memory lane – Seventies to Nineties

1970s to 1990s had been sheer embarrassment of riches producing an array of great players and very significant first-time events. From Kerry Packer revolution, Coloured Clothing, Night Cricket, White Ball, One Day Tournaments including World cup, Neutral Umpires, Ban and return of South Africa, introduction of new cricketing nations, rise of the subcontinental Nations as Cricketing superpowers etc. All these need to be embalmed and treasured up in memory shelves for the present and future generations to come. Videos for some of the matches in the aforesaid period may be available with selected cricket lovers but it was felt essential to put in a narrative which can reside in the public domain and delight the true cricket lovers worldwide.
