The Blue Lotus

The Blue Lotus is a journal chronicling difficult times, where the mind was clouded by negative thoughts and the pain of suffering. It is a journey from experiencing depression to gaining a deeper understanding of it—an exploration of life’s patterns and purpose. Much like the petals of a radiant lotus unfurling, the soul too blossoms from adversity into enlightenment.

The author is an engineering graduate with an MBA and has been a manager in a PSU for over eleven years. Born in Naihati into a middle-class family, he was raised by retired teacher parents who nurtured his passion for writing. Inspired by his father’s love for poetry and storytelling, the author began creating vivid characters and stories during his college years. A fan of deduction-based thrillers, he debuted with Four Deductions, featuring Arryaman Khare, and followed it with Betrayal in Arunachal in 2023. His works also include a poetry collection Lady with the Red Clip, its Kindle edition Distractions, and a Bengali book Raamdhanu o Aro Ekti. Influenced by Buddhist philosophy, he aspires to become a full-time writer within the next decade.
